Welcome!
Kaitlyn Hillebrand
My name is Kaitlyn Hillebrand and I am a Pre-K-4 Elementary major with a Special Education minor at Grove City College. I created this online teaching portfolio to display my projects and field experience I am currently doing at Grove City College.

This portfolio contains important technology tools and resources used in the classroom. It also includes projects, field experiences, community involvement, professional development opportunities, and networking that I have done throughout my time at Grove City College.

My teaching portfolio is centered around the Danielson Framework for teaching. Our world is becoming more technologically advanced, and I believe integrating technology into classrooms is necessary.

About Me
I am a current student at Grove City College, Pennsylvania, and I am studying Pre K-4 Elementary Education. I enjoy participating in numerous activities on campus including the Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary, Council for Exceptional Children serving as secretary, a student ambassador for the Crimson and White Society, involved in the Gamma Chi Sorority serving as Social Chair, and I am apart of the Grove City College Cheer Squad. During the summer, I am a certified lifeguard and a swim coach at Woodland Hills Swim Club in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. As a swim coach, I educate kids on water safety, as well as communicating and instructing children on competitive swimming regulations. I love being a swim coach, because I serve as a positive role model to my younger swimmers, and I am able to treat each swimmer with respect and encouragement.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I would love to find a teaching job that is close to home. I have come from a family that has a teaching background, which includes my mother and my grandmother. My relatives had a passion for teaching, and they showed their students with love, respect, and compassion. I would love to someday become an inspirational educator like my relatives.
