Cultivating Respectful and Affirming Environments explained how teachers should have positive relationships to show that they care and respect their students, as well as creating a sense of belonging. Also, teachers should have a conflict resolution plan, which should be a clear approach to resolve any conflict and restore trust.

  

Elements include, Positive Relationships, Sense of Belonging, Cultural Responsiveness, and Positive Conflict Resolution. Students could have lunches in their classroom a couple times a week to develop relationships and earn their students’ trust. Teachers could also attend sporting events or activities for their students to show that they care and are them to support their students.
