Supporting Positive Student Behavior

Supporting Positive Student Behavior explained that teachers should have a positive attitude to support motivation, show compassion, and have purposeful classroom rules that allow the students to blossom. It is a teacher’s duty to demonstrate and maintain these expectations to build a better classroom community.

Elements include Expectations for the Learning Community, Modeling and Teaching Habits of Character, and Self-Monitoring and Collective Responsibility. Teachers should review the classroom rules for the students the first week of school, and they must follow and keep these rules to have a positive classroom environment.
