Organizing Spaces for Learning
Organizing Spaces for Learning states that a learning space should be a safe space for all students and should be modified for individual students’ needs. The learning space should be designed to support the classroom learning activities, and students should play a role in designing the classroom to show a sense of belonging and comfort.
Elements include Safety and Accessibility, Design for Learning and Development, and Co-Creation and Shared Ownership. Students could make decorations or projects and hang them up in the classroom to show that they belong and have a sense of ownership in the class.
