Bitmoji Classroom

A Bitmoji Classroom is an online virtual space that mimics a real-life classroom, where teachers can add their Bitmoji, and have a chalkboard and other fun elements in their classroom. Students can interact and click links to get a sense of familiarity online as they would in real life. Teachers can teach from their Bitmoji classroom and can put out material to reach students and have a connection with students virtually. 

 

When I initially created my classroom, I first made my professional Bitmoji, and I made it a cartoon version of myself. I selected a classroom theme that was welcoming and was also one that I was fond of. I then made my classroom interactive for students by adding links to the classroom that take students to different educational websites. Lastly, I inserted the affirmation poster I created with Canva, and I added "Welcome to Ms. Hillebrand's Classroom!" to make my classroom more personal. 
 

Bitmoji Classroom relates to the Danielson Framework for teaching. It relates to Domain 1, Component 1e because it allows teachers to plan tasks and activities for their students on an online platform that engages students through meaningful content. It also creates flexible learning, because students can work remotely or in person while using Bitmoji classroom. 

 

It also relates to Domain 2, Component 2c, because teachers maintain purposeful environments while creating routines and procedures for students to follow in their Bitmoji classrooms. The teachers wants to engage students in subject material and promote collaboration in the classroom
