My group created a flipped classroom History and English lesson about United States' sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln. For students to access classroom materials, we created a Bitmoji classroom so that all of our links were accessible and available for our students. We used Screenpal to create the video recording of our lesson since it allows students to see your entire computer screen clearly, and it is audible for students. At the beginning of class, we had students participate in a Blooket to see how knowledgeable they were about Abraham Lincoln before the lesson began. Blooket is very engaging and fun for students to use with its variety of games, and it also allows them to learn classroom material. To create our presentation, we used a powerpoint presentation to display all of our information. At the end of the slideshow, we created an activity for the kids to pretend that they were Abraham Lincoln writing a letter to a soldier, and we used Canva to create a letter template.

This flipped learning lesson relates to all four domains of the Danielson Framework for Teaching. It relates to Domain 1 Planning and Preparation because my group members and I organized our instruction for efficient student learning. It relates to Domain 2 Learning Environments because we are fostering a culture for learning while maintaining a purposeful environment online. It relates to Domain 3 because even though this is technically online learning, we are still communicating with our students, having specific expectations, and communicating the purpose of the assignment. It relates to Domain 4 because we created activities that engaged students in a reflective practice while acting in service to our students.
